About Us
In 1985 Sol Price established The Price Family Charitable Fund, a
private family foundation primarily for the purpose of providing
donations to non-profit organizations in San Diego, California. In
1998 The Price Family Charitable Fund and the Los Angeles based
Weingart Foundation each contributed $35 million to the San Diego
Community Foundation to form the Weingart-Price Advised Fund. The
Weingart-Price Advised Fund mission has been to make contributions to
non-profit organizations in San Diego and Imperial Counties with The
Price Family Charitable Fund serving as advisor. The Price Family
Charitable Fund also serves as advisor to the Brodie-Price Fund at the
San Diego Jewish Community Foundation. The Brodie-Price Fund honors
the memories of Dr. Earl and Marion Brodie and contributes to
non-profit organizations outside of San Diego and Imperial Counties.
